I Just Installed Fedora 8!

Published on January 2, 2008 in General by Rami Taibah

I just finished from setting up Fedora 8 on my system. My last experience with a Red Hat distro dates back to the days of Fedora Core 5 which only lasted for a couple of days. I must confess I was hesitant to install F8, as I have grown a disliking of Red Hat based distros. F8 is about to change that! :)

I will write a full review when I get the chance to fully test out the system, for the time being, here are some Uber cool screen shots (click for full view) :

  • Well honest_ape, you probably gonna expect an Ubuntu answer right :)?? Well ya you could try that, but I would also recommend Mint Linux, it is based on Ubuntu, but has lots of Ubuntu's kinks sorted out...

Of course I am more than happy to assist you in the installation process or anything else...you are a big boy you know how to contact me;)

  • Looking tight, man! I went all Linux, but was in over my head, so retreated back to windows until I could learn enough to dump MS completely. So, now I'm looking for a good distro to dual-boot.
