Intrepid Ibex Release Schedule

Intrepid IbexIt has been merely days since the exciting release of Ubuntu Hardy Heron but for Canonical the ball is already rolling! Canonical has just announced it’s next Ubuntu 8.10 codenamed Intrepid Ibex release schedule. The release date is scheduled on the 30th of October 2008. Here is a breakdown of the important dates:

  • 12 June 2008 – Alpha 1 release
  • 3 July 2008- Alpha 2 release
  • 24 July 2008 – Alpha 3 release
  • 14 August 2008 – Alpha 4 release
  • 4 September 2008 – Alpha 5 release
  • 18 September 2008- Alpha 6 release
  • 2 October 2008- Beta release
  • 23 October 2008 – Release Candidate
  • 30 October 2008- Final release of Ubuntu 8.10

    @Rami Taibah , for the first , excuse me for my bad english im a student from sweden and my engish is not the best.

    the thing was that i stopt playing games and i decided to go over to ubuntu and becuse im so new with that os im not so good at it, but over one day i learned a lot i installed wine and antother stuffs thrue the terminal and it works great, and im not a hardcore linux masta (yet? :P ) and im must seed after me 24/7 so becuse it dont worked i go to M$ again :( but when intrepid ibex released im going over to ubuntu and im going to give it a new change, probebly i must install utorret throuh wine .

  • @Stork: Yes I understand your frustration, but believe it or not uTorrent works wonderfully under wine. And if you wanna go hardcore, why don't you use rtorrent? A terminal torrent client! It's not as as hard as it sounds :)

    the thing ubuntu needs to fix is a GREAT torrent program like utorrent becuse i tested Transmisson and deluge and the suck! becuse deluge dont send info about the mb i seeded i was running from M$ and imigrated to linux but then when the torrents fucked up i did go back to M$ :( fix a torrent program like utorrent
